Animal Supply Company
Platforms: My Roles: Front-End Engineer Tools: React, TypeScript, ESLint, Yarn, VS Code, PHP, .NET, C#Animal Supply Company is a distributor of pet supplies & food. The client had old systems in place to run their e-commerce business, but it was starting to show its age.
I was part of the team that connected their old systems to the brand new redesigned site we built for them.
Revisiting old technology
The old system was split into 4 sites; each with different code bases using .NET and PHP. The goal was to carefully extract the necessary code into the new site, making sure no vital piece of the engine was lost.
Before that, the new site's empty shell was created. With a fresh new coat of paint and a much modernized user experience, the entire ASC brand was changed dramatically.

Due to the lessons learned during the Qdoba project, I was able to implement designs, test the responsiveness of the site, and fix UI bugs in a snap.
In addition, because of the extraction of the old system code, we were able to carefully dissect the critical bits and leave the important business logic alone.
As a result, most of the focus was on the UI during the later half of the project and we had time to add neat animations and transitions to the site.
